An extruded aluminum bar linear register built for floor installation, with an integral opposed-blade damper. Every unit is made to order: choose the opening size, one of six blade profiles, a mounting method, and a finish. Lengths run to 84" in a single piece, and longer runs join with aligning pins for a continuous line.

Integral Damper

An opposed-blade damper is built in and operated with a flat head screwdriver from the face — so you can balance or shut off a floor run without lifting the register or reaching into the duct.

Six Blade Profiles

From the standard 0° deflection through 15° and 30° throws, a fine 1/8" air-flow blade, a pencil-proof profile, and a heel-proof blade for floors that take traffic in hard shoes. Five of the six add nothing to the price.

Made to Your Opening

Eighty-four stocked size combinations — five opening heights from 2" to 4" and nineteen lengths from 8" to 84". Built to order rather than cut down from a standard part.

Extruded Aluminum

Extruded rather than stamped, so the bars hold their line across a long run and the register will not rust in a floor where it collects whatever the room does.

Three Mounting Methods

Screws, spring clips, or concealed fastening — picked in Custom Options rather than bought as a separate part. Spring clips suit floor and sill work specifically.

Paint It or Leave It

Silver powder coat is the one to order if the register will be field painted; Mill is bare aluminum for a shop that will powder coat it properly; White is a finished true-white semi-gloss.

Choose your blade style

Blade style is set in Custom Options above, not by the size selector. It changes both how the register looks and how it throws air. –00– is the most commonly ordered.

Choose your mounting

Also set in Custom Options. Because this is a floor register, all three methods apply — but they are not interchangeable if you later move the unit to a wall or ceiling.

Spring clips are not rated for ceiling or wall use. If there is any chance this register moves to a wall or ceiling later, specify screws or concealed fastening instead.

Sizing and depth

Order by the opening size. The register face adds 1-11/16" to both the height and the length, so it overlaps the opening and sits flush.

Damper operation

The damper is adjusted with a flat head screwdriver through the face of the register. On a floor model the operator sits as shown in Detail B, which is also the arrangement used for the –01– and –84– blade cores and for removable models.

Allow 2-11/16" of depth below the opening for the register and damper assembly.

Decorative resin covers are designed for wall and ceiling applications only — they are not rated for floor use. They're lightweight enough to mount safely overhead and decorative enough for walls where you want more visual detail than a stamped metal grille. If you need a floor register, our wood, metal, and cast iron options are built to be walked on.

Resin covers don't rust like metal, don't splinter like wood, and are significantly lighter than either — which makes them ideal for ceilings. They're formulated to handle the thermal cycling of central air and heat, so they won't warp or crack from temperature changes. Urethane resin is also stable in moisture-rich environments like bathrooms, where metal can corrode and wood can swell.

Yes — unfinished resin covers can be painted to match your walls or trim. However, covers that have already been painted at the factory are non-returnable. If you plan to paint, order an unpainted cover, apply your chosen color after testing on a sample, and install once dry. Standard spray paint adheres well to resin; no special primer is required for most colors.

Yes. Our decorative resin covers are available in standard sizes and hard-to-find dimensions — the same custom sizing program that covers wood and metal also applies to resin. If your duct opening doesn't match a listed size, contact us with your measurements and we'll confirm what's available. Allow approximately 6 weeks for custom resin orders.
