The next day, we called the dealer, he came and determined that the powerful blower on this new furnace was making the conventional ceiling vent in this guest bedroom whistle. He took a screwdriver, opened a couple of the fins in the vent a little and left a slight whistle that stayed for the next 15 years! When doing our hardwood floors, we purchased our floor vents from VCU. We also purchased a vent cover the size of the opening for the whistling ceiling vent. We removed the inner louver and painted it white, screwed it to the studs. No more whistle! Thanks for making such a great product."
