Add a refined grid pattern to your hardwood floors with the Wood Designs Grid Insert Floor Register - a precision-crafted, solid wood floor vent featuring a classic square-grid core that delivers strong visual structure and broad compatibility with both traditional and transitional interior design vocabularies.

Interior designers specify the Grid Insert for hardwood floor projects where a defined, architectural pattern is preferred over a simple louvered core. The self-rimming lip conceals subfloor cuts and seats cleanly into the floor opening without a separate frame installation. An optional easy-slide or adjustable box damper provides airflow control from the face. Made in the USA from solid hardwood, shipped unfinished, and factory-sanded for staining or finishing alongside the surrounding floor.

The square grid core creates a clean, ordered visual pattern suited to transitional and traditional interiors and can be stain-matched to any surrounding hardwood floor.

"I have never looked forward to a purchase as much as I did this, but I was so disappointed with the tin A/C covers. Finally my purchase arrived, I had measured and thought everything would be perfect. Far from that image. I actually could not believe how cheezy this product is. It sits way above the flush image I had imagine. I am a realtor and recommend products daily, but this is beyond anything I would wish to others. I paid a good price, and am so discouraged. I am not one to complain but because of their ""No Return "" I will go back to my original grates. Please do not buy or purchase this product."

"A good looking vent, but you should make sure this vent will fit properly. Maybe even plan on screwing it to the floor. Mine sticks up on a low berber carpet and is a tripping hazard. Vents Unl. does not allow refunds on many products so I wasted 84$ on a vent I can't use. For my remodel and neighbors I will not recommend Vents U. Co."

They're lightweight enough to mount safely overhead and decorative enough for walls where you want more visual detail than a stamped metal grille. If you need a floor register, our wood, metal, and cast iron options are built to be walked on.

Resin covers don't rust like metal, don't splinter like wood, and are significantly lighter than either — which makes them ideal for ceilings. They're formulated to handle the thermal cycling of central air and heat, so they won't warp or crack from temperature changes. Urethane resin is also stable in moisture-rich environments like bathrooms, where metal can corrode and wood can swell.

Yes — unfinished resin covers can be painted to match your walls or trim. However, covers that have already been painted at the factory are non-returnable. If you plan to paint, order an unpainted cover, apply your chosen color after testing on a sample, and install once dry. Standard spray paint adheres well to resin; no special primer is required for most colors.

Yes. Our decorative resin covers are available in standard sizes and hard-to-find dimensions — the same custom sizing program that covers wood and metal also applies to resin. If your duct opening doesn't match a listed size, contact us with your measurements and we'll confirm what's available. Allow approximately 6 weeks for custom resin orders.
